MEET THE TEAM

Mr. Sartin was born in New Orleans and grew up in Metairie, Louisiana where he went to Metairie Park Country Day School. He moved to Baton Rouge to attend Louisiana State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Political Science. Mr. Sartin also completed the Louisiana State University School of Continuing Education’s Paralegal Studies Program and achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA and received the program’s Honor Student award. He then returned to Metairie and attended Loyola University’s College of Law in New Orleans. While in law school, Mr. Sartin was a member of the Journal of Public Interest, earned the highest grade awards in Civil Procedure I and Trial Practice, and graduated with public service honors in 2011.
Since October 2011, Mr. Sartin has been licensed to practice before all state and federal courts in Louisiana, including the Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice is focused on plaintiff’s personal injury litigation including automobile crashes, slip and fall accidents and other premises liability, and unpaid wage claims under Louisiana state law. Mr. Sartin also has experience handling bad faith insurance claims, including disability, property, and uninsured motorist coverage. He has been a member of the Louisiana Association of Justice since entering practice.

Kevin is a life-long resident of south Louisiana. After high school in Brusly, Louisiana, Kevin graduated from LSU where he was a member of the Honors College and majored in History. In 2008, Kevin graduated cum laude (“with distinction”) from LSU Law and obtained both a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law degree. During law school, he earned awards for legal writing, trial advocacy, and the highest grades in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. Kevin also worked during law school at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal as a research and writing intern and at the Louisiana State Legislative Bureau proofreading and analyzing proposed legislation.
Kevin is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts in Louisiana, as well as the Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has handled matters in parishes throughout Louisiana representing both individuals and businesses and has extensive litigation and trial experience in a wide variety of subject areas, including personal injury, insurance claims, contract disputes, medical malpractice, and others. Kevin’s past experience representing defendants and insurance companies has given him valuable perspective that helps him build compelling cases and obtain the best available outcomes for his clients today.
Kevin lives in Mandeville with his wife and three sons.

Medlock M. Harbison, Jr. joined our firm at its inception. Mr. Harbison’s primary areas of focus are civil litigation and trial practice.
Mr. Harbison received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors (cum laude), in Political Science in 2006 from the Louisiana State University A&M College in Baton Rouge. In 2009, he received his Juris Doctor, from Tulane University School of Law where he served as a Senior Justice of the Moot Court Board and represented the law school in both Mock Trial and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) competitions, in addition to serving on the law school's Honor Board. During law school, Mr. Harbison also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Kurt Englehardt in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and completed clerkships at both the Orleans and Jefferson Parish District Attorneys' Offices. Prior to attending Louisiana State University, Mr. Harbison graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in New Orleans.
In the aftermath of the BP Oil Spill in 2010, Mr. Harbison assisted community members ranging from individuals and local small businesses to fortune 500 companies recover tens of millions of dollars in business and economic loss damages. Prior to his legal career, he formerly worked as Portfolio Manager at an independent asset management company in San Francisco; served as an aide to the United States Senate Subcommittee on Financial Management, Budget, & International Security and as an aide to two former U.S. Senators in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Harbison is a New Orleans native and enjoys the opportunity to assist clients in his local community and throughout the state. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
